The Yellowstone Coalition of Home Educators (YCHE) is a Christian based organization open to members of all faiths. The purpose of YCHE is to serve the interests of home education, including; support of and assistance to members of YCHE, dissemination of legislative and other information affecting the rights of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children, and sponsorship of educational resources for YCHE members.

To keep up-to-date on local home school activities and programs, we invite you to become a member of YCHE. Some of the benefits of membership include computer e-mail Loop access for the most current home school information in the Yellowstone valley area, discounts at area bookstores, HSLDA membership discount, seminars and workshops, etc. At only $12 per year per family, the benefits are well worth the investment!

How to join the homeschool eloop
The eloop is a way for homeschool families to communicate regarding community events, important legal matters, classes offered, etc. Over 100 families are a part of the loop, with daily postings offering a wide variety of helps.
To join the loop community:
1) Become a member of YCHE
2) Wait 2 or 3 weeks for your membership to be processed
3) Send an email with your full name to YCHE-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and request to be added. Your email must come from the address you sent the treasurer. You should start receiving posts within several days of subscribing!
Another way you can support YCHE is by shopping at OFFICE DEPOT.

Annual YCHE Events
Kick-Off — end of August event that provides an opportunity for community to share the services they offer to homeschoolers.
New Homeschooler’s Classes — Classes offered twice a year to the general public. Dates and times to be announced on eloop and Billings Gazette
Homeschool Talent Show and Expo — Springtime opportunity for families to show off their school year labors
Standardized Testing — Offered every other year, in April
Used Book Sale — Provides opportunity to buy and sell books/supplies/curriculum to help our homeschool budgets! Usually May or June
